Vitara-V 20 mg

Vitara-V 20 mg

Introduction

Vitara V 20 mg contains vardenafil, a medicine used to treat erectile dysfunction in adult men. Erectile dysfunction is a condition in which a man has difficulty achieving or maintaining an erection that is sufficient for satisfactory sexual activity. Vardenafil helps improve the blood flow to the penis when sexual stimulation is present. It does not increase sexual desire and does not cause an erection without sexual stimulation.

Mechanism of Action

Vardenafil belongs to a group of medicines known as phosphodiesterase type five inhibitors. During sexual stimulation, nitric oxide is released in the penile tissues, which increases a natural substance called cyclic GMP. This causes the smooth muscles of the blood vessels in the penis to relax and allows more blood to flow into the erectile tissue.

Vardenafil blocks the breakdown of cyclic GMP by inhibiting phosphodiesterase type five. As a result, blood flow to the penis is improved and an erection can be achieved and maintained more easily when sexual stimulation occurs.

Uses

Vitara V 20 mg Vardenafil is used for:

  • Treatment of erectile dysfunction in adult men
  • Improving the ability to achieve and maintain an erection during sexual activity
  • Supporting better erectile function in men who have difficulty maintaining an erection
  • Improving sexual performance related to erectile dysfunction when used as prescribed by a healthcare professional

It is generally used along with sexual stimulation, as vardenafil does not produce an erection on its own.
